Finnish and Greek comparison greetings. Mä oon erittäin hyvä, ellen täydellinen O mae aelitian huve, enden teleomen -Oμαι αληθινά ύπερ, αν δεν τελεόμεν “I am really good, if not perfect” - Mascara, “Erittäin Hyvä” The middle text is in Finngreek. It's a language that I am creating so that Finnish and Greek people can communicate with each other. There are many words that are similar between Finnish and Greek: Harvest/Autumn = Syyskausi = Sungovdi = Sygkomidi = Συγκομιδή (to) cloud(s) = Synketä = Sungefta = Ta synnefa = Τα σύννεφα Seven = Seitsemän = Seftaman = Evdomwn = Έβδομων -teen(th): -toista = ta -tois, ta -toin = (Τα) -τοις, (Τα) -τοιν (eg: Yksitoista = Ενδεκάτοις) Twenty = Kaksikymmentä = Kosikonta = Eikosikonta = Εικοσικοντά House - Koti / Koto = Kotoiko = Katoikos / Katoikia = Κάτοικος / Κατοικία Although Finnish is a Uralic language, it contains a large amount of Greek vocabulary. From this shared vocabulary, a new language was able to be constructed, that is based on both (ancient and modern) Greek and Finnish. I believe it is easier for Finns and Greeks to use Finngreek than English. However, I am fluent in neither Finnish nor Greek, so I need input from Finns and Greeks, in order to make the language as good (huve) as possible. If you would like to learn this language, help me make it better - or if you just want to see more comparisons of Finnish and Greek - I hope you will join my subreddit. Hristos poljon! (By the way, I think erittäin is actually from alithain/αληθαίν (Epic/Ionic dual feminine of αληθής), but I don't have a reference to confirm usage this way. cheapest DB to implement for my severless marketing site?
I have this data that was written to a PSQL database. And now its also in text form.
There are two tables:
- simulation inputs
- summary results of the simulation for each data point
They can be joined on an 'id'
So basically, 270k rows x 2. Each entry (in each table) has like 5 attributes.
Do I have to do DynamoDB for severless? How would that work? Thanks, just trying to figure this out. I guess lambda can run psycopg?

To celebrate arbor day(april 26th) r/detrashed will be joining several other environmental subreddits in a tree planting initiative, to help the planet sequester carbon and in turn DeTrash the air! please read comments!
Hello All,
I have been in contact with a few other environmental subs and we have decided that if we work together we can make a big impact by doing a tree planting initiative on arbor day (april 26th). as it stands the subs involved have over 300,000 subscribers so assuming we can get 10%(hopefully more) people to plant just 1 tree we can expect some big impacts. so here is some math!
each tree can collect up to 48 lbs of carbon straight from the air in 1 year
we have ~300,000 people who this activity will be encouraged to participate in, and assuming only 10% actually do this, we still have 30,000 new trees. So that would be 1,440,000 POUNDS OF CARBON STRAIGHT FROM THE AIR!!! thats a huge amount to put it into perspective, 1 gallon of gas produces about 17 pounds of C02 so by planting the trees we are effectively removing 84,705 gallons of gas! thats huge! and thats just one year for the tree, an individual tree can end up collecting up to 2000 pounds of carbon in 40years! thats a crap ton! Besdies just carbon removal trees can have many other benefits like providing important shelter and food resources for some of your favorite local animals!
with just 1 hour (probably even less, planting a tree is easy) we can remove a huge amount of carbon. and yes i know this isnt going to save the world, but you add this to all the recycling and cleaning this sub already does as well as the r/zerowaste habits many of us practice, well we are surly doing our part!
and this is a conservative estimate! remember the numbers are based on a 10% rate and im sure we can get more than this!
To help out effectively it is important to plant native trees, as they will produce the most benefit for your local environment, to help you all with this I encourage you to contact you local fish and wildlife as they can help you find appropriate species, (some times they give your FREE trees too). if you want to keep your search on reddit these sub reddits may help you r/marijuanaenthusiasts , r/permaculture , r/gardening and of course asking your local state/city/country sub reddit will probably be able to provide you with some useful information!

Muistutus että tammikuun 21. päivänä on seuraava ja mahdollisesti viimeinen EU-tekijänoikeusuudistuksen äänestys! Suomen MEPit tulisi äänestää sitä vastaan, olkaa heihin yhteydessä!
Tämä uusi EU-tekijänoikeusdirektiivi uhkaa häiritä ja pahimmassa tapauksessa tuhota internetin ekosysteemiä euroopassa. Se laittaa liian kovat vaatimukset palveluntarjoajille ja loppujen lopuksi tämä tulee myös vaikuttamaan tekijöitä negatiivisesti.
Direktiivi tukee ainoastaan vanhan median tekijänoikeudenomistajia mutta ei ota ollenkaan huomioon uuden median artistien ja tekijöiden tarpeita. Internetissä on satoja tuhansia ellei miljoonia tekijöitä Euroopassa ja sen ulkopuolella jotka tulevat kärsimään tämän direktiivin säädöksistä.
Tässä on linkit Suomen meppien yhteystiedoille. Kertokaa heille kohteliaasti että heidän tulisi äänestää EU-tekijänoikeusdirektiiviä vastaan, jos olette sitä mieltä.
Muistuttakaa heitä myös äänestysaikomuksistanne kevään eurovaaleissa! Suomessa emme valitettavasti voi äänestää yksittäisiä meppejä, meidän pitää äänestää heidän koko puoluetta vastaan.

Warning: Amarok 2.9.0 Can Wipe your Home RECURSIVELY
if you try to fool around with the local playlists you created (ie: create/delete playlists and tracks etc). Without any relevant warning or confirmation on what it is about to do, either. It literally deleted EVERY SINGLE FUCKING FILE in my home folder within the span of like 5 minutes. It did leave all of the empty directories intact though. Thanks, I guess?
Now I have to try to undelete all of my files and hopefully at least recover some of the important data. In the mean time I can stare at this gem of a developer response to what looks to be the exact same problem from 3 years ago. No wonder the bug is still there! **golf clap**
Solution: stay away from that dumpster fire and don't install.
