Installing Xubuntu on an SSD: What do I need to know and/or do?

There is a lot of advice on SSDs & linux, but most of it is at least a few years old. I'd like to get some up-to-date advice on using Linux (specifically Xubuntu) with SSDs.

• Do I need to do a special install?


• Do I need to change any system settings (eg: TRIM)?


• Do I need to change my usage / behaviour?
